Drum hits, one-shots, a few loops. Open in any DAW.Drum Coach loads a PaSST classifier (kick, snare, clap, hat, tom, perc, cymbal, room) and a small transient model trained on 26,000 hand-labelled drum hits from our kit catalog. The plugin runs entirely on CPU through ONNX Runtime 1.18, hot-swaps the model from our CDN without a reinstall, and ships zero telemetry by default.

Drum Coach loads a PaSST classifier (kick, snare, clap, hat, tom, perc, cymbal, room) and a small transient model trained on 26,000 hand-labelled drum hits from our kit catalog. The plugin runs entirely on CPU through ONNX Runtime 1.18, hot-swaps the model from our CDN without a reinstall, and ships zero telemetry by default. When you put it on a drum bus, it tags each transient, then proposes a chain: a 31-band linear-phase EQ cut at the snare's resonant peak, a 2:1 compressor with a 3 ms attack on the kick subgroup, a saturation cell on the room channel. You can accept the chain, audition each stage A/B against bypass, or print the chain to a track preset. The model is good at acoustic and trap drums; for heavily processed industrial-techno loops the standalone iZotope Neutron 4 still beats us on the comp stage.
Dated, terse, one fact per line. No 'general improvements'.

Drum Coach is tested in Cubase, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Studio One, Bitwig, FL Studio, REAPER as CLAP, VST3, and AU. The build is code-signed with Apple Notarytool on macOS and EV-signed on Windows (DigiCert).
No. Activation runs once over the internet, then the plugin runs offline. Two activations per license.
The model file is fetched from the SONICHAOS lab CDN and hot-swapped without a plugin reinstall. You can pin a version in Preferences if a session needs to stay bit-stable.
No. Drum Coach proposes a chain; you accept or reject. The plugin never auto-applies. There's no 'AI Mode' slider since v1.1.0.
Yes — Print to track preset exports a .fxp / .cpr / .als with the chain settings and a plain-text comment block. The plugin can then be removed from the channel.
Less well. The model is trained on tracked drums and trap. For heavily layered industrial loops the standalone iZotope Neutron 4 still beats us on the comp stage.
