We collect the smallest amount of data we can and never sell it. This page lists what we store, why, and how to delete it.
Account data (email, name, billing address, plan tier). Product data (downloads, favorites, project bins, search queries). Device data (browser, OS, IP, language) for security and rate-limiting. Optional analytics (PostHog, self-hosted) only with cookie consent.
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers. We don't process audio you upload via video-to-music unless you sign in and choose to save the project — local browser embeddings only.
Primary database: Postgres on Neon (US-East, EU-West replicated). Object storage: Cloudflare R2 (multi-region). Analytics: PostHog instance hosted by us in Frankfurt.
Account data: while your account is active, plus 90 days after deletion for billing reconciliation. Receipts and license PDFs: 10 years (compliance requirement). Search and download history: 18 months unless you clear it from your account.
Export your data: account → settings → export (GDPR Art. 20). Delete your account: account → settings → close account. We process within 7 days. Object to processing: write to privacy@sonichaos.io and we will respond within 30 days.
