Drum hits, one-shots, a few loops. Open in any DAW.Vocal Coach runs a pitch and timing tracker (RMVPE on the f0 estimate, a small note-grid head for timing drift), a de-esser keyed off a sibilance probability rather than a static band, and a clarity bus made of a high-shelf, a 3 kHz dip, and a soft-knee compressor. Three reference voices ship with the plugin: a pop chest, a rap mid-range, a podcast voice.

Vocal Coach runs a pitch and timing tracker (RMVPE on the f0 estimate, a small note-grid head for timing drift), a de-esser keyed off a sibilance probability rather than a static band, and a clarity bus made of a high-shelf, a 3 kHz dip, and a soft-knee compressor. Three reference voices ship with the plugin: a pop chest, a rap mid-range, a podcast voice. You pick one, the tracker compares your take against the chosen reference, and the suggested moves land on the channel. Nothing time-stretches or pitch-shifts without you saying yes. The model is good at solo lead vocals and rap; for heavily harmonised four-part stacks the standalone Antares Auto-Tune Pro 11 is still the right call.

Vocal Coach is tested in Cubase, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Studio One, Pro Tools, REAPER as CLAP, VST3, and AU. The build is code-signed with Apple Notarytool on macOS and EV-signed on Windows (DigiCert).
No. Activation runs once over the internet, then the plugin runs offline. Two activations per license.
The model file is fetched from the SONICHAOS lab CDN and hot-swapped without a plugin reinstall. You can pin a version in Preferences if a session needs to stay bit-stable.
No. v1.3.0 removed the auto-tune stage entirely. Vocal Coach polishes; it does not correct pitch. For correction, run Antares Auto-Tune Pro 11 in front of it.
Three: a pop chest voice, a rap mid-range, and a podcast voice. Each ships as a small file in the install; you cannot train your own reference inside the plugin.
Honest scope: the model is good at solo leads and rap. For heavily harmonised stacks the standalone Antares Auto-Tune Pro 11 is still the right call.
